Sports Tours in Split & Vis Island
Our tours to Croatia are #1 in our
growing list of 'Obscure Cricket Destinations'. Do they
really play Cricket there? Test driven by Wimbledon
Cricket Club in July 2011, who described the tour simply as
'immense.'
They started the tour in the
Dalmatian city of Split. Staying in an excellent 3* Hotel near the
Port, the team had great access to both the beach, the nightlife,
and the Cricket Club who play their games on a pitch near the
Airport.
Following this, a Catamaran took
them into the Adriatic Sea and onto the tiny island of Vis, home to
one of Croatia's three Cricket Clubs. The island is the closest
thing Europe has to paradise, and when you can throw in a day's
Cricket, time relaxing in coastal bars and an evening tasting the
Wine made by one of the Clubs' players, you have yourself a
thoroughly marvellous itinerary.
In Vis, you will stay in 4*
Accommodation, just a short walk from where the Catamaran from
Split will leave you. From there, navigating the island is
easy.
Getting to Split from the UK is
limited to flights out of London and Bristol with Easyjet. Flybe go
from Manchester but tend to be expensive. We can provide you with
an all-inclusive quotation that includes protected flights and a
ground package inclusive of all accommodation, transport, fixtures
and activities.
