Sports Tours in Prague

Prague is still the Number One Touring destination in Eastern Europe. Served by flights from across the UK, the city is easy to get to, affordable to stay in, and beer is still relatively cheap.

Sadly gone are the days where a beer could cost as little as 10p, and a three course banquet a fiver, but the city has much to offer the tourist both day and night.

Built on the Vltava River, Prague is centred on two large squares; Wenceslas Square and the Old Town Square.  Here you will find many of the iconic buildings such as the beautiful Astronomic Clock and the Town Hall. This end of town is very expensive, and we must recommend a certain amount of caution in some of the late night venues.

A short walk among the back streets will take you to some quaint bars and shops where a cracking bargain is available.

Prague is a beautiful and romantic city. The gothic and medieval architecture combines well to make it a picture book of sights. Prague still maintains a lot of it's old buildings that many other European cities lost in the Second World War. This is a result of the Allies 'selling-out' the city to prevent the German forces continuing their quest across Poland. Subsequent German occupation prevented the total destruction that was seen in nearby cities such as Warsaw.

Prague by night is a different affair altogether. Once the grand old buildings are covered by the night sky and blinded by the street lights, the main part of the town is awash with alcohol and debauchery. Late Night Clubs, 'Gentlemen's Bars' and Pubs are filled with tourists and locals alike until the early hours of the morning. Once you have had dinner in one of the centre's cracking restaurants, head down to the stunning Charles Bridge where you will find many nightclubs and small casino's.

As with many Eastern European cities, there are a lot of activities and excursions available that will excite any thrill seeker. Shooting, Go-Karting, Paintballing, 4 x 4, White Water Rafting are all available a short distance from the city. Why not head into the countryside to a Czech Mansion, where you can be educated in the fine art of Czech Wine Making?!

Czech Football is amongst the best in the World. This is mirrored in the amateur echelons of the game. There are many teams within a short distance of Prague that range to meet any standard and requirement.

Rugby and Cricket is of course available. Both gain strength and experience from the strong ex-pat influence on both sports. Watch out for the Rugby though, it is surprisingly strong and physical. When you combine an ex-pat coach with some burly Eastern European forwards, you could be in for a tough afternoon! Our links with a range of Czech Rugby Clubs will ensure that you have a cracking rugby experience in Prague.

Accommodation is wide ranging. From the basic multi-bedded hostels to the lavish Spa Hotels, most of what we offer in the city is affordable. Let us know what you want, and we will endeavour to fulfil every touring ambition.
