Sports Tours in Chester

Situated on the border with Wales, the ancient Roman City of Chester is one of England's most beautiful cities. Steeped in mystery and tradition, the tudor clad houses, the narrow streets and the River Dee all make Chester an excellent youth tour destination for your team.

The city is the base of a fantastic active tour - the Cheshire countryside and North Wales hills rivals the Lake District for outdoor fun.

Located a quick drive from both Liverpool and Manchester, Chester is a popular day-trip destination with the residents of the bigger cities. The city walls give the town an intimate and concealed atmosphere, which makes it a unique destination in England.

Founded by the Romans and named Deva, the city of Chester is home to the world's oldest racecourse that remains in regular use today. The Roodee Course, is also the only anti-clockwise racecourse in Britain, and the courses' showpiece is the Chester Cup in May, a traditional warm-up for the season showpiece Epsom Derby.
