Our tours to the area are based around the beautiful lakeside city of Lecco. The picturesque venue nestles between the south eastern leg of the dramatically beautiful Lake Como and the imposing Italian Alps, making it one of Europe's most stunning, picture book locations.

We have established long lasting friendships with local clubs, hotels and transport companies that has resulted in us being able to send you to the heart of the Italian culture in a way that is un-matched in many other Rugby Tours of this nature. Our intimate knowledge of the area means that our itineraries have been meticulously arranged so you can gain the most out of this one-off rugby destination.

Lecco itself sees is origins as an industrial copper-mining town, making the most out of the ample supplies in the surrounding snow-capped mountains. During his time in nearby Milan, Leonardo da Vinci was said to have spent many years plotting his ideas in the picturesque mountains above Lecco.

The cities Rugby Team, AS Rugby Lecco, currently ply their trade in Serie B, which is the third tier of Italian Rugby. The club boasts a superb youth section which regularly provides academy players for top Italian teams such as Gran Parma, Calvisano and Viadana. Our excellent relationship with the club enables us to provide fixtures as well as a training venue for all teams to keep on top of things while on tour.

Rugby in the area is booming. Your opposition may not possess the tactical awareness and skills of the better British sides, but they will make up for it with a typical Italian passion and immense work-rates. Away from Lecco, there is some cracking Rugby to be had in the hills near Switzerland and with the city boys from Milan and Brescia. If you are keen to travel a little further, fixtures against the Academy teams at some of Italy's top clubs are readily available.

What will we be doing?

A tour to Lake Como can include a host of memorable excursions. Why not pick up a ferry ticket and spend the day cruising on the lake, stopping off at some of Italy's unique lakeside villages. The highlight would certainly be a wander around the winding streets of Bellagio, widely reputed as the country's most beautiful village. This can be mixed with a cracking game of Crazy Golf at Menaggio, or a swim in the lake from a quiet beach at Varenna. Cheap tickets make this day a must.

Other options include a day trip to the Jungle Raider Park. Set high in the mountains above the lake, the park is best described as an Italian answer to the Go Ape sites in England. Four very arduous courses will take you as high as 15m above the forest floor on tight-ropes, rope swings and zip-wires to name but three.
Our last recommendation is a trip to the cosmopolitan city of Milan. Located less than an hour away, the city is a must-see attraction. On Route, we will stop off at the Formula 1 circuit at Monza. You can spend up to an hour viewing the track, visiting the equipment and souvenir shops, and if you're lucky, watch the regular testing and tuning sessions going on in the pit lane. After Monza, it is onto the bustle of Milan. Highlights include the newly-renovated Cathedral, the Guiseppe Meazza stadium at San Siro and the Vittorio Emmanuelle Gallery.

You will be accommodated at an exclusive 4* Hotel in central Lecco. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is immense value for money. We can arrange that you will eat in a private dining room, and stay in luxury for the duration of your stay.
