Loughborough University is synonymous with Sport, and high level sport at that. It is no surprise then, at their base in Leicestershire, the University boasts some of the best sports performance infastructure anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Located excellently for schools, clubs and other universities across England and Wales, the centre is in a prime setting for a pre-season training camp, or a mid-season boost.

Sky High Sports is delighted to announce that we have arranged a formal agreement with the Performance Centre at Loughborough University allowing us to market training camp's at their facility at the best prices on the market.

The Performance Centre has recently refurbished a 3* Hotel, turning it into The Link Hotel - a sport specific residency that is tailor made for teams staying in Loughborough. Combine this with the already outstanding facilities at the centre, then you have an A-Grade venue. The all-inclusive campus nature of the venue is one of the most magnificent positives.

All food is provided at the Hotel, with menu's specific to your requests.

You will have the pick of the bowling green quality Rugby Pitches; the 3G Rubber-Crumb, IRB Approved Pitch; The Powerbase Gymnasium & Fitness Suite and the Olympic Standard Swimming pool to name but a few.

The Performance Centre is a premier one stop environment for supporting high level athletes across a wide range of sports. It is central to the high performance environment for sport development on the Loughborough campus, and houses much of our provision for sports science, strength and conditioning and sports medicine services to athletes. The Performance Centre services both high level Loughborough University sports students and elite athletes from all across the country.

Situated at the heart of the Performance Centre is one of the Country's largest and most advanced strength & conditioning facilities for athletes. This facility offers exceptional equipment and expertise for World Class and other high level sports performers, and for others seeking to develop or maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Powerbase provides an environment where training, recovery and rehabilitation are all accessed under one roof. With over 1000 m2 of training area Powerbase is more than just a gym - its where strength, power, speed and agility all come together to give the ideal environment for bespoke, integrated and complex training programmes.

Powerbase is staffed by well qualified and specialist conditioning coaches, who can instruct users in safe and effective techniques for achieving their training goals. The centre's staff are available for consultation on design and implementation of training programmes and strategies for developing sport specific strength and power. As part of a integrated approach the centre's Performance Support Service work alongside Loughborough University's School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, a department with an international reputation for excellence in the fields of Exercise Physiology, Sports Biomechanics, Nutrition and Psychology, staff are fully supported by and have full access to academic research and expert resources within the department.

The Loughborough Pool is a British High Performance Centre. The 50x20 metre pool can be split into two 25 metre pools by means of a moveable boom. One of the pools then has a moveable floor enabling the depth to vary between 0-2 metres, making it ideal for all types of swimming activity including Waterpolo.

Other facilities include an Athletics Centre, Indoor Gymnasia, Astro-Hockey Pitches, the National Cricketing Centre and an un-rivalled Netballing facility.
