Sports Tours in Shropshire

Set amidst 250 acres of superb grounds including two lakes and a River, the UK's leading self contained activity centre is an unbelievable destination in the heart of the Shropshire countryside.

A recent £1 million pound expansion has only added to the quality of the venue that boasts an Activity Hall, a Sports Hall, a Sports Field and playing fields, an indoor swimming pool and an extensive dining hall, restaurant and bar.

You will be accommodated in some newly-built 'Tall-Timbers' lodges which cater for 4-6 people each, all with an en-suite shower and toilet facility. You will be accommodated on a half board basis, with food being served in the dining restaurant.

The centre's location at the northern end of the West Midlands, make it the destination of choice for teams in Lancashire and Yorkshire. It is also accessible from the west country and not too far away from the south east. The beauty of the location on the Welsh border means that you can play a fixture in either country at ease.

The Rugby Experience on Tour

The focus of any tour is the sporting experience you will undertake.  At Sky High Sports we are passionate about providing our clients with a Rugby experience on tour that provides evenly contested games, exceptional hospitality and fixture arrangements that are tailored exactly to your requirements.

We maintain an element of flexibility with your fixtures. While the itinerary above describes single matches, we would insist on arranging a multi-team round robin or tournament for you during the tour. We have developed extensive contacts across our locations and remain confident that we can make this happen for you. Extra fixtures and training sessions at local clubs are available throughout the weekend.

Activity Time!

The activities listed in this brochure make up an integral part of any mini-rugby tour. They don't just keep you busy and fill-time, the are a fantastic way to build confidence, increase team morale, have some fantastic fun and tire the kids out so the parents can be free in the evening! For every half-day activity booked during the tour, we recommend you pick a wish-list of four activities from the list provided. From here, we will develop a schedule that allows all tour members, parents included, to enjoy each of the chosen activities. Your group will be split into smaller teams before being led around the activities by the excellent centre staff. Enjoy!

Mini Rugby Tours to Shropshire

Rugby in the area is aplenty. A trip across the Welsh border towards Welshpool will give a great alternative to a match towards Wolverhampton and Birmingham. If you are travelling home to the north, we could arrange a match in either Cheshire or Lancashire at some great old Rugby clubs with bustling youth sections.

Whitchurch RFC hold their annual mini-rugby tournament on Sunday 22nd April 2012. This would be a fantastic addition to a fixture on the Saturday played across the border in Wales. With Welshpool, Newtown and Caersws all within easy distance, this would be a fantastic opportunity.
