GIRLS RUGBY WEEKEND - England International & World Cup Winner Tamara Taylor is unveiled as the official ambassador for Newcastle 2020 and will be delivering pro-coaching clinics to sides across the weekend.
Just a few weeks have passed since Sky High Sports launched the ‘Girls Rugby Weekend: Newcastle 2020’ - and the response that we have received has been overwhelming!
It is with great excitement that we are able to reveal our official ambassador for the Girls Rugby Weekend - Former England Captain, Second Row and World Cup Winner – Tamara Taylor.
Tamara has made 115 appearances for her country, representing England at the 2006, 2010, 2014 & 2017 World Cups, winning in 2014.
Named as 2017 RPA Player of the Year, Tamara is one of only three women who had made more than 100 appearances for her country. She is currently player/coach at Tyrrells Premier 15s side, Darlington Mowden Park Sharks - alongside our very own Mackenzie Thomas.
We are delighted that Tamara will be our official ambassador for the Girls Rugby Weekend and female rugby tours moving forwards.
Tamara will be on hand at 'Newcastle 2020' when girls teams from all over the UK will descend on Newcastle in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest female rugby events to date. The England International will be delivering pro-coaching clinics to all touring sides over the course of the weekend which takes place on the 10th-12th April next year.
