Newcastle

We may be slightly biased about our fantastic home city, but show me a person who leaves here disappointed and we'll admit defeat. Newcastle possesses a vibrant atmosphere like no other. Whether it be by day on the bustling hives of Northumberland Street and Grey Street, or at night on the World Class Quayside.

Ferry

A short drive East of Newcastle will get you to North Shields Ferry Terminal. From here, DFDS Seaways offer daily overnight crossings in from Amsterdam. For teams travelling to Newcastle from the Netherlands, we work closely with DFDS, so we're able to include ferry crossings to your tour package.

Train

Our new and exciting link with Virgin Trains East Coast has opened up Newcastle as a destination to many. From Kings Cross, you can be in Newcastle within 3-hours. With Hotels available within walking distance, the days of traffic-jams and late-arrivals are a thing of the past.

Air

Newcastle International Airport maybe lacks the global presence of Manchester or London Heathrow, but the city has good links across Europe with airlines like KLM, Easyjet, Aer Lingus and Ryanair. If you're travelling to Newcastle as part of a wider multi-stop tour, then consider flying into Glasgow, Edinburgh or Manchester - all are bigger 'hubs' than the airport at Newcastle.

Cheap & Cheerful

Opened in 2010, the Euro Hostel in Newcastle has risen to the top of websites like TripAdvisor for budget Accommodation in Newcastle.

This excellent venue offers large, clean, safe and spacious en-suite rooms, a great bar/restaurant, chill-out rooms, 24-hr reception & a location which will have you in the heart of Newcastle in minutes.

Something Flash

Overlooking the majestic Central Station in Newcastle, the Hampton is a brand-new 3* Hotel in the heart of the city.

Bright & spacious, the twin/double rooms are crammed with creature comforts alien to the traditional rugby tour. Widescreen HDTV's, Wifi, Power Showers and enormous beds add some box-tickers to the property.

A 24-hour Reception, Cafe, Bar area make a great base & the buffet breakfast each morning will have you well stocked until lunch.

When this Hotel is full, we recommend the Holiday Inn Express, a great hotel built in the shadows of the St James' Park Football Stadium.
