Training Camp Key Info

Breakfast

The most important meal of the day will be a buffet breakfast consisting of a Full-English Buffet, Eggs, Fruit, Bread, Cold Meats, Cheese & Yoghurts.

Lunch

Lunch will typically be provided at the Rugby Club during your daytime training. It will consist of lean meats, vegetables and carbohydrates such as Rice & Pasta.

 Dinner

We have identified a number of local restaurants where we can arrange a suitable set-menu or make the most of the buffet-style service. Your training load will be heavy, so your plates will be full. Lots of Chicken, Lean Meats, Pasta, Rice & Vegetables.

Sundries

On each day, we will ensure that your Tour Bus is stocked with Water & Bananas.

Budget

Our preferred accommodation in Newcastle is a top-rated hostel located a short walk from the Sport Central training facility. The Euro Hostel is a solid, safe & comfortable venue & allows the budget to be spent on the training itinerary. Their breakfast is good, the function & chill-out rooms useful & location excellent.

3* Hotel

Located next to the Central Station in Newcastle, the Hampton-by-Hilton is a group friendly 3* Hotel in a magnificent location. Around £20 per night more than the Hostel, you'll enjoy large & comfortable twin rooms, plenty social spaces, a 24-hour lounge & reception, free Wifi and the creature comforts associated with a plush Hotel.

Out of Town

Being in the Centre of Newcastle is not for everyone, especially when it is about focus and training. The 4* Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel is a little out of the way, but has easy access by coach to the Pitch & Gym facilities. Restaurants are within walking distance in the evenings & the on-site leisure facilities will provide suitable tonic at the end of a tough day.
