Richie Gledson

Richie is the founder and director at Sky High Sports. He started the company from a farmhouse back-bedroom in 2009. From modest surroundings, he has grown Sky High Sports to become a highly effective and respected Rugby Tour company both in the UK and across the Rugby playing World.

A Journalism graduate from Chester University, Richie first got the Rugby Travel bug whilst playing Rugby for AS Rugby Lecco in Italy. After arranging a few tours to and from Italy on the back of a notepad, Richie moved back to the UK to learn the trade working for another sports tour operator.

After a few years in employment, the time was right to put ideas into actions and Sky High Sports was born in Northumberland on June 1st 2009. The first 'tour' was for 15 local lads who headed to the bright lights of Amsterdam. Since then over 4,000 Rugby playing people from across the world have trusted Sky High Sports with their tour arrangements.

After growing up in Rugby Clubs across the North of England in pursuit of father Alan's playing and coaching career with Tynedale RFC & Northern FC & the Northumberland County side, a career in Rugby was always on the cards.

Sadly, a limited playing ability and a dislike of serious training has restricted it to a 'management' role.
